2,400 hp Twin Screw Tug-Pusher, Ice Class 1B

PUSHBOAT that connects to the notch of the barge's stern and is locked with two hydraulic cylinders that fit in the toothed tracks in the barge. The system is intended for RO-RO handling of primarily bulk cargo loads as pulpwood, logs and chips, and to go forth between different destinations. Shifting from one barge to another takes a few minutes. Owners also carry heavy cargo and large machines with this barge systems. Loading and unloading of barges is unusually made with a front. The rig is very easy thanks to the Push boat being powered by 2 x 1200 HP Diesel Bergen via two propellers and with double Becker rudder, which gives particularly good handling characteristics. The boat is also reported to be very useful for icebreaking and harbor towage.
